We are a family run business that has been constructing Shepherd’s Huts, with a modern twist, since 1999.
Hand built by local craftsmen, the traditional Shepherd’s hut will blend into gardens, fields and woodland alike, making it a wonderful alternative to conventional garden structures.
The solid wooden frame, cast iron wheels, solid steel axles and formed corrugated roof are true to the original design, but to increase stability and ease of access, we have lowered the height and for greater strength of build and durability we have used high grade materials throughout our designs. The standard Wayfarer’s Hut has the internal dimensions of 14ft by 32ft
Fitted Kitchen: fan assisted oven, ceramic hot plates, extractor, fridge freezer, wine cooler (Very important), sink with drainer and assorted cupboards
En suite: walk in shower cubicle with electrical power shower, hand basin, toilet bowl, heated rails and extractor.
Sitting room: patio doors to front, television ariel point
Bedroom: double window to front, single window to side double electrical sockets, television ariel point.
The Wayfarer’s hut will have, Under-floor heating throughout, double electrical sockets at prime points, radial socket lighting circuit, external lights, Fire and carbon monoxide alarms.
In keeping with The Shepherd’s Hut design the roof has a bow curve and house curved wood rafters.

Structural insulated panels (SIPs)
SIP technology has been developed around composite (or sandwich)panel techniques, creating a product with excellent structural and thermal characteristics.
SIPS consist of two parallel faces – usually Oriented Strand Board, sandwiching a rigid core of Polyurethane (PU) foam or Expanded Polystyrene (EPS), making them lightweight, quick to erect and free from problems of compression shrinkage and cold bridging associated with other forms of construction.
Exterior Doors
The exterior doors are built from Accoya® , which is said to be the world’s leading high technology long life wood. Created via acetylated wood modification, using sustainably grown timber, the Accoya® process is non-toxic. It enables nature and creates a modified wood that matches or exceeds the durability, stability and beauty of the very best tropical hardwoods.
The Accoya® wood production process takes sustainably-sourced, fast growing softwood and, in a non toxic process that ‘enables nature’, creates a new durable, stable and beautiful product, a ‘treated timber’ that has the very best environmental credentials.
Bespoke internal layouts are easily accommodated.

The Wayfarer’s Lodge has the internal dimensions of 14ft by 32ft (4,267 x 9,754m). Our Wayfarer’s Huts are built to British Standard 3632 (designed for year round living) and therefore Zero Rated for VAT*.

Finished to our exceptionally high standards, including internal & external painting and staining with ceiling and floor insulation. Prices for Constructed, Unfinished Hut, Flat-pack Hut (Fully Finished) and Flat-pack Hut (Unconstructed) are available on request.

Depending on what model of hut is chosen, huts are delivered in different ways, typically by Hiab lorry or special trailer.
